Kirk Basefsky and Robin Heywood Honored with Prestigious Lifetime Achievement Award

May 11, 2005, DENVER, CO – Kirk Basefsky and Robin Heywood of Burst were recently honored with the prestigious Lifetime Achievement award from the Rocky Mountain Chapter of SMPTE (Society of Motion Pictures and Television Engineers) and Chapter 48 of the SBE (Society of Broadcast Engineers). The award recognizes individuals for their dedication to the industry, support of SMPTE and SBE, and dedication and willingness to assist industry colleagues over the course of their careers.
“As an organization, Burst has provided industry leadership and support of our local activities, and this is our way of saying thanks,” said Rome Chelsi, Rocky Mountain Section Chairman of SMPTE. He noted, “They’ve been so good to us over the years. They’ve been unfailingly there to support us.”
“We are very proud of this award,” said Robin Heywood, Vice President, Burst. “Kirk and I wish to thank the Rocky Mountain Chapter of SMPTE and SBE Chapter 48 for this award. We will continue our support of the chapters, recognizing their value to our local broadcast community and industry at large.”
